Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
1. Introduction
BuildWithAccess(“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how and why we use it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and our services.
2. Information we collect
- Contact & inquiry information: Name, email address, company name, and any details you provide through our contact form.
- Lead-magnet information: Your name and email address when you request our free WCAG checklist.
- Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, approximate location, browser and device type, and referring URL — collected only via analytics if you accept analytics cookies (see Section 6).
- Communications: Records of emails or messages you send us.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
- To deliver the resources you ask for (such as the free checklist)
- To send service updates or marketing only where you have consented
- To understand and improve our website through analytics (with your consent)
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse
4. Service providers (processors)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate, each acting as our processor:
- Google Forms (Google LLC): receives the name and email (and, for the contact form, company, service interest, and message) you submit, so we can record and respond to your request.
- Gmail / Google Workspace (Google LLC): used to send the free checklist and to correspond with you.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): measures website usage with IP anonymization enabled — loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. How the free-checklist request works
When you request our free WCAG checklist, your name and email are (a) used to email the checklist to you via Gmail / Google Workspace, and (b) recorded as a lead in Google Forms so we can follow up. We do not add you to marketing emails unless you separately opt in. You can ask us to delete this record at any time using the contact details below.
6. Cookies & analytics consent
Essential functionality does not require cookies. Analytics (Google Analytics 4) is disabled by default and loads only after you choose “Accept All” in our cookie banner; choosing “Essential Only” means no analytics cookies are set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
7. Data retention
We keep contact and lead information for as long as needed to respond to you and for our legitimate business records — generally no more than 24 months after our last interaction — unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics’ configured retention period. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
8. International data transfers
Our processors (Google) may store and process data on servers in the United States and other countries. Where personal data of individuals in the EU/EEA or UK is transferred internationally, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
9. Legal basis for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
- Consent: for analytics cookies and for any marketing emails.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to inquiries, deliver requested resources, and maintain business records.
- Performance of a contract: to provide services you have engaged us for.
- Legal obligation: where we must process data to comply with the law.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. Individuals in the EU/EEA and UK have these rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise any right, email us at accessbuildwith@gmail.com.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
